Competitive Bowling Team
Competitive Bowling Team
We are a new, USBC-recognized program led by a top national coach, offering a competitive, non-cut environment for student-bowlers. While relying on sponsorships and donations, the team's primary goals are to host practices that help everyone get better, build a team capable of competing at the national level, and more.
Description
Bowling Team at Oregon State was founded in September 2024, and we're excited to be one of only two USBC-recognized programs in the Pacific Northwest, with the other at the University of Washington. Our coach, Chris Burnett, is one of the top 100 coaches in the nation and a well-known figure in the youth bowling scene. In addition, he is a product specialist for Brunswick, Dexter, and Vice.
We’ve secured a sponsorship with Brunswick Bowling, giving us access to high-quality equipment at discounted rates, helping us stay competitive.
We’re a non-cut program, so if you have prior bowling experience, you’re welcome to join us and practice with the team. We do, however, select who will travel and compete in tournaments. Currently, we have Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, and one of our biggest goals for the 2025-2026 season is to grow our Women’s Team, which we’re excited about.
