One of the most rewarding parts of the sorority experience is the involvement our community has with service opportunities and philanthropy. Every chapter in our FSL community was founded on principles of service to others and focuses on giving back to the community. Chapters raise money, collect supplies, or donate time for these organizations either by hosting fun events for other chapters to participate in or by holding donation drives. You can also find members out in the community, giving back through hands-on service. Overall last year, we contributed over 35,000 hours of service and donated over $230,000 to charity!

Below are the philanthropic priorities of each Panhellenic chapter:

Alpha Chi Omega: Domestic Violence Awareness/Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV)

Alpha Gamma Delta: Fighting Hunger

Alpha Phi: Alpha Phi Foundation in the Support of Women’s Heart Health

Alpha Omicron Pi: The Arthritis Foundation

Chi Omega: Make-A-Wish Foundation

Delta Delta Delta: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Delta Gamma: Service for Sight

Kappa Alpha Theta: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Kappa Delta: Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV) and Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA)

Kappa Kappa Gamma: The Jed Foundation, Heartland Humane Society, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation

Sigma Kappa: Alzheimer’s Association and the Sigma Kappa Foundation

Oregon State University adopted the national Panhellenic philanthropy, Circle of Sisterhood, in 2014. The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation is a mechanism by which sorority women can stand together as one community to help improve the lives and livelihood of girls and women worldwide by removing barriers to education.

“Education is access - to knowledge, to understanding/compassion, to skills, to community. Education should not be something that is compromised any more than the need for air in our lungs or food in our mouths.”
