Registered Student Organizations that need to reach out to a specific student population to inform them services or events, or to invite them to join honor/professional societies may request to have a message targeting certain students sent out on their behalf. There are a couple of rules for utilizing this resource. 

  • Groups are limited to 1 request/email per term and no more than 2 requests/emails per year
    • Note that requests can take up to 3 weeks to process.
  • For University Student Organizations wanting to access lists of students rather than having a message sent on their behalf, the request must be made by the Faculty Mentor for the organization.
    • In alignment with FERPA, Faculty Mentors are not permitted to share this information with club officers, nor with non-OSU entities, and must send the message on behalf fo the student organization themselves.
