BDA LogoOur Mission

The OSU Blood Drive Association (BDA) works to organize and host a Red Cross Blood Drive each academic term. We also strive to educate the OSU community on the need for donated blood and promote campus-wide involvement during each drive through donation and volunteering.

The Oregon State University Blood Drive Association hosts one of the largest Red Cross blood drives in the Pacific Northwest!

Get Involved!

The BDA meets weekly in the Memorial Union at 4:00 PM on Mondays during Weeks 1-5 and Week 7 this term. Come join us and learn more about who we are and what we do!

For more information you can also join our listserv to receive club emails, follow us on facebook, check out our instagram, or email us!

Donate With Us!

Our Spring Term 2024 Blood Drive will be held May 6th through 9th from 11AM to 4PM in the Memorial Union Ballroom. To sign up to donate, click here!

One donation can help save up to THREE lives -- Donating is a really easy way to do a whole lot of good in your community!

Questions about the process? Want to know whether or not you are eligible to donate? Check out the Red Cross Donor Information webpage and the Red Cross Eligibility webpage to get started, or email us to ask your questions!

Volunteer With Us!

Not a needles person? That's okay! The BDA coordinates a volunteer team to support the drive each term -- No needles involved!

Volunteers will be trained in their tasks upon arrival. Just show up ready to work, and we will let you know exactly how to be the most helpful.

Part of Greek Life?

Greek Life students can count volunteer and donor hours towards their required service hours! Each whole blood donation is worth three hours, and Power Red donors can earn four and a half hours per donation. Volunteers earn one hour for every hour volunteered at one of our drives.

At the end of the year, the Greek Houses with the most volunteer and donor hours per person will also be awarded the Blood Drop Award during the annual Greek Awards Ceremony.
