Hey team! These are your captains speaking. It has been just over a month since our last update, and we have some things to share.

First of all, as of August 6th, we are an OSU Registered Student Organization (RSO). The club's official name is Alpine Race Club at OSU or ARC for short. Over the last month, Mitchell and Nils have been working on finding insurance for the team, and Maisy has been working on athlete waivers. We have also applied for a bank account and are beginning to plan fundraising efforts for when that is ready. Please see below for important information regarding our upcoming season…

Club Constitution

Throughout our recognition process, the 2024/25 Officer team worked with RSO to form a club constitution, outlining the structure and operations of the club. The constitution details member eligibility/accountability, officer roles/responsibilities/elections, race/travel policies, and more. The current version of the constitution has been attached to this email.

Club Merchandise (New Logo!)

As an RSO, ARC is not permitted to use the Oregon State University name or trademark materials. These rules are strictly enforced and have no exceptions. Any unauthorized merchandise will be prohibited at club events. Violations of this rule will lead to immediate suspension from races and potentially dismissal from the club. We understand there may be some frustrations around existing team jackets, and we are looking into potential options here. This year we have also created a club logo and emblem for merchandise and events, stay tuned for more info on team jackets and other merchandise. 

Race Schedules and Club Dues

USCSA/NWCSC has published the 2025 race schedule for all races, other than Regionals. You can view the current up to date schedule on the new ARC website. Dues will be handled individually for each race event, along with an initial registration fee. For members traveling with the team, payment must be submitted at least 1 month before the travel date.
