Originally known as "IFC Sing", All University Sing originated in 1936 as a Homecoming event at the Oregon Agricultural College. On the Thursday evening of Homecoming week, the fraternities gathered in the Memorial Union Lounge and held a singing competition.

During World War II, many IFC fraternity members entered the armed forces and it looked like Sing would not take place. However, Panhellenic sororities stepped up to continue the tradition by creating their own singing competition. In the Spring 1951, Sing became a collaboration between sororities and fraternities.

Eventually, the event was moved to Gill Coliseum to accommodate the introduction of choreography into the performance. Overtime, Sing became one of the highlights of Spring Family Weekend.

2017 - The name was changed to "All University Sing" to emphasize the event's commitment to including all members of the Oregon State community, regardless of Greek affiliation.

2018 - Sing was held in the Truax Indoor Practice Center due to construction on Gill Coliseum.

2020 & 2021 - In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was canceled for the 2020 and 2021 season.

2022- Sing is back! 13 teams brought back the long-held tradition with "The Stories Of Our Lives".

2023- Sing continues with "Who's On Aux?", a roadtrip themed performance.

2024- Sing announces "Corvallisfest", a music festival with headlining artists coming to Corvallis this Spring Family Weekend.
