The Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi recruits students who have a desire to gain professional development and leadership skills for future success in the business world.  Rush activities are held at the beginning of each term during which interested students are encouraged to attend and learn more about AKPsi and the members of the Oregon State Theta Chapter.  Potential members will be inducted into a pledge class.  The purpose of the pledge class is to educate potential members about the history and structure of the fraternity, as well as how to be an effective member of the chapter.

Students are inducted if they meet the following requirements:

  • Have an interest in Business (do not need to be a Business Major)
  • Meet the minimum GPA requirements (2.5 GPA)
  • Desire to gain professional experience

The Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi holds pledge classes during the fall, winter, and spring terms of the academic year.  There is always an upcoming opportunity to join that world's largest professional fraternity!  During the pledge process you will:

  • Attend weekly pledge class meetings
  • Coordinate and organize a professional event
  • Facilitate a service project/event
  • Work on a creative project
  • Take a fraternal exam
  • Meet the members of the Theta Chapter and learn about all that AKPsi has to offer!
